January / February 2016 11 still making memories. I am in trouble with my wife over it though. I thought I'd found the perfect car when I bought the Cayman out in Asheville, NC. I told Jenny I wouldn't need to change anything and it was perfect like it is. Well we see how long that lasted… 9. Cars growing up that you had fun with? When I turned 16 I drove a 75 GMC Jimmy but when I graduated High School I got my first hotrod. I had a 74 Dodge Charger SE with mint green paint and a black vinyl top. To honor the 70's it had a pop-up sunroof too! (which always leaked!) Later in life I was gifted my first serious collector car. My mother-in- law surprised me with her 57 T-Bird. It was an awesome cruiser which I completely rebuilt and had years of fun with. I eventually sold the T-Bird and bought a 70 GTO. It was a basket case needing completed. I had fun building the "Goat" but the thing was barely drivable on the street and Jenny called it a cursed car! She didn't like to ride in it and preferred to stay home by the phone as it was prone to stranding me. My neighbors were relieved when I sold it to buy the Cayman. 10. What was your nickname in high school? For as long as I can remember I've always been called by my last name - Hallam 11. What would you like your next Porsche to be? Without question a Cayman GT4! 12. If you won the lottery what would be the top 3 cars you would own? This is tough! I tend to look more at collector cars than modern exotics. Here would be my top 3. 1. 1938 Talbot-Lago T150C- SS Teardrop Coupe –The most beautiful car ever designed! 2. 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider – Bueller…? 3. 1969 Boss 429 Mustang – The epitome of the muscle car! - JEFF • Automobile Insurance • Homeowners Insurance • Life Insurance Give your family the coverage it deserves.
