January / February 2016 8 1. Where are you from and what brought you to KC? My wife Jenny and I grew up in Columbia, MO. We have had many work related moves taking us to southern Virginia, St. Louis, Chicagoland (twice), Cincinnati, Overland Park (twice now) and Detroit. We moved from Kansas to Michigan in 2005 but Overland Park was our favorite and when I received a job offer in KC we jumped at the opportunity to move back. We have no plans to move again! 2. How long have you been married, kids or pets? Jenny and I have been married 27 years and have two beautiful daughters. Katherine and husband Derek live in Michigan and Christina is attending Seminary in New Jersey. 3. What is your background or profession? I have a mechanical background and had a first career as a Mechanic. I actually did my apprenticeship at John Riddick Motors in Columbia, MO which was a Porsche, Audi, VW and Peugeot dealership (although I mainly worked on VWs). I eventually graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Agriculture and have been in the heavy truck industry for about 28 years. Today I am a Fleet Sales Manager for Volvo Trucks North America. 4. When did you join PCA? I joined in March 2014 when I bought my Porsche. 5. What kind of Porsche do you have? I have a Black 2008 Cayman S. 6. What is your favorite thing about your car? I am fascinated about how the car handles! It puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. 7. What have you done to personalize it? I worked with Karl Wilen / Rennsport KC to put on a Cayman R suspension and GT3 Master cylinder. I also put on a set of matte black mesh wheels from Wheel Dynamics. This winter I'm putting on a Carnewal GT modified exhaust from Cantrell Motorsports to open it up a little… 8. Favorite memory with car - or funny story?
