From Nebraska, Chad Fischer has been appointed as the General Manager of the MEGA's mattress division. Fischer most recently was the National Field Sales Manager for Serta's America's Mattress Gallery program, and worked six years prior in other capacities with Serta. "We are excited to add Chad Fischer to the company and to utilize his skills in growing and managing the retail outlets within MEGA throughout the country," Jerry Honea, EVP of the Furniture and Mattress division, stated. "His mattress knowledge and retail relationships will be welcomed as we go into the marketplace for 2016." MEGA is pleased to have four experienced gentleman in the bedding, consumer electronics and home furnishings industry join the Regional Manager staff. Frank Beer, a former RadioShack store owner and District Sales Manager, is the new Regional Manager of the Midwest region. Beer comes with a background in the hardware, appliance, and furniture store business as well. Todd O'Neil from Burlington, VT has taken the role of Regional Manager for the Northeast. In the '90s, O'Neil was a furniture business rep for Berkline and then joined the team at the Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha. In 2003, O'Neil moved back to Vermont to work for Best Home Furnishings. Supporting the states of Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado is Regional Manager Robert Kersting. Kersting's most recent sales experience was four years with Serta Mattress Company, and in 2015, was one of the top three sales representatives for Serta. Taking over the Mid-Atlantic region, Ken Simons of Raleigh, NC joins the MEGA Regional Manager team with sales and marketing experience in the bedding and home furnishings industry. Simons experience includes small business ownership, retail and sales training. "We are pleased to see the bedding and furniture industry growing and add both retail and wholesale expertise to the mix," said Rick Bellows, President of MEGA. "It is now more important than ever to support independent retailers with programs and services to help a business owner thrive."
