Julia's firearms auction on March 14-15 is touted to be another milestone event for those passionate about investment-grade firearms. Julia's will feature a remarkable private collection of English Best breech and muzzle-loading big bore rifles. Many were obtained from the house collection of the venerable Holland & Holland firm in London. H. the Nizam of Hyderabad, such as a wonderful cased H&H Deluxe Engraved 4-bore hammer rifle made as a pair—the other being retained in H & H's library collection. Another superb firearm is a gold- encrusted H&H 10-bore rifle and an extraordinary cased Marsey & Silliver 4-bore muzzleloading rifle of the Nizam, with full ivory accoutrements. Others notable offerings include Holland 8- and 12-bore Paradox rifles, a super-rare MacNaughton "Edinburgh" bar-in-wood .450 BPE, a Purdey Best Sidelock .369 Express, and the Holy Grail of stopping rifles: a pristine W.J.
