Brand 62 SMOKESHOP December 2015 CB3 Flavorings from M&R Holdings Revive, Enhance Tobaccos Tapping the expertise of mix masters with over 50 years experience in flavoring pipe tobacco, M&R Holdings has developed CB3—a line of liquid spray-on food-grade flavorings designed to revive dry, stale tobacco, restoring it to proper smoking condition while adding a blast of flavor. The product, which is entirely nicotine free, works equally well with dry herbs, and has launched in three flavors: Cherry Blast (strong, robust cherry), Vanilla Blast (rich and creamy with a natural vanilla taste); and Peach Blast (refreshing peach with a smooth, subtle taste). Users simply spread tobacco or dry herbs out on a flat surface and spray desired amount of reviver evenly across the surface, then allow the leaves to acclimate in a sealed bag for 48 hours. Each 1 oz. bottle contains enough flavor/moisture enhancer for one pound of tobacco or dry herbs. CB3 is packaged in amber glass bottles for maximum product life and come with a sealed cap, 12 bottles per display, four displays per case. M&R Holdings also offers a variety display package containing four bottles each of all three flavors, and says that new flavors will be introduced on a regular basis or by customer demand. The Glen, Single Malt Scotch Cigar from Ted's Cigars Winston Churchill famously said, "My rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite: smoking cigars and also the drinking of alcohol," which for Churchill most notably meant Scotch Whiskey. The Glen combines these two great traditions with the release of The Glen, the latest premium branded handmade cigar created by Ted's Cigars, aromatically seasoned with a premium single malt scotch. The cigar combines U.S.A. Broadleaf and Dominican Criollo 98 fillers, a Dominican Piloto Cubano binder, and an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper for a finely balance cigar. Through its own process was first developed zto create the Maker's Marker Bourbon Seasoned Cigar, Ted's Cigars has "aromatically seasoned" this latest release with the finest single malt Scotch. The Glen initially launched in two formats, a 6 x 50 Toro ($10 retail) and a 5 x 38 Petit Corona ($7 retail). Like all Ted's Cigars seasoned products, The Glen is presented in a sealed crystal tubes that requires no humidification. The product is available in either 10-count or 25-count vertical POS displays or in three-count cartons. Black Works Studio Releases NBK, Killer Bee, and Rorschach Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) has begun shipping its first three premium cigar releases: NBK, Killer Bee, and Rorschach. Each blend highlights Nicaraguan tobacco and is hand-crafted in small batches at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. The factory was established in early 2015 by Black Label Trading Company. As its new sister company, Black Works Studio produces cigars that are "an expression of art showcasing the talent, technique, and tobacco behind the boutique cigar factory." "These have been my 'go-to' daily smokes for the last year," said James Brown, creator of Black Works Studio and Black Label Trading Company, and a partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra. "NBK and Killer Bee both walk the line between medium/full and full in terms of strength. Flavor-wise they are extremely rich with intense flavors of earth, malts, and cocoa. The strength and body are very balanced with many subtle and elegant nuances." Both feature a closed foot "because it allows for the first draw…to highlight the intense flavor profile of the wrapper. This big blast of flavor sets the tone for the rest of the cigar," says Brown. NBK is a 6 x 46 box press Corona Larga featuring Nicaraguan filler and binder and an Ecuador Habano Oscuro wrapper. Suggested retail price is $9.00, offered in 20-count boxes. Killer Bee is a 4 1/2 x 46 petite corona featuring Nicaraguan filler and binder and an Ecuador maduro wrapper with signature linear cap. Its suggested retail price is $7.50 each, and it comes in 24-count boxes. Rorschach started as the house cigar at the factory and is rolled from a mix of all the factory's different Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos with an Ecuador Habano wrapper. "Each batch is unique and up for interpretation, like a Rorschach image," says Brown. "It is a medium-bodied cigar with a very unique and ever-changing flavor profile." It's offered as a 5 x 38 petite panatela in 50-count boxes, SRP $4.30 each. Black Works Studio, Cameron, Texas, Tel: (248) 885-8550, Email: info@ovejanegracigars.com, Web: www.blacklabeltrading.com.
