47 reflects Arizona's ranching heritage as evidenced by the local cattle brands burned onto the walls of the Steakhouse at Mormon Lake Lodge and Saloon? This little burg has been a meeting place for locals over decades. Relax in historic or modern cabins or stay at the Lodge's well-serviced RV Park and Campground. Why not venture adventure? This all-season Lodge offers families and friends snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, tubing, and other winter activities right out their front door. Mormon Lake Lodge is also near Flagstaff and other high-country destinations and heritage sites. As you're making tracks toward Nevada's Las Vegas, Forever Resorts, again, accommodates your "get out there" whimsy with boating and floating fun. Visit any one of Forever Resorts' southwestern marinas: Cottonwood Cove (on the Colorado River's Lake Mohave); Temple Bar Marina (offering only day boat rentals); and Lake Mead's Callville Bay Marina. At Cottonwood and Callville guests rent everything from fully equipped 70' houseboats (with a top-deck hot tub!) to PWCs and other motor crafts. Page - Lake Powell Grand Canyon And, boats at all the marinas including Lake Mead houseboats have new BBQ grills. For those travelling via RV, why not stay at Lake Mead RV Village or Willow Beach Marina and Campground for a couple of days? Take time to tour Boulder City, Hoover Dam and to drive the recently opened Colorado River Bypass Bridge. You can experience both of these marvels from the water as the guest of Forever Resorts' Black Canyon River Adventures. The Colorado River Exploration tour includes the historic Techatticup Gold Mine and an interpretive scenic river float. Limited services in the winter yield to regular spring schedules where you're sure to see desert blooms and, perhaps, newborn Big Horns? Sturdy rafts enter the water just below Hoover Dam then pass under the Bypass Bridge and continue peacefully down river. Finally, as you circle-round, back east and north, plan as much time as possible in beautiful Bryce Canyon National Park at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon—the only cabin and guest room sanctuary in the Park, open seasonally—this year until November 10. The National Park is open year-round, however, with limited Visitor Center hours. Snowy winter activities abound: cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking—even winter astronomy. The 18-mile drive along the rim features 13 spectacular viewpoints and trail heads.
