12 POWDER COATING, March 2016 F ollowing a successful 2014 show in Atlanta, the American Coat- ings Association (ACA) will be hosting the fifth installment of its bien- nial coatings show this spring. The American Coatings SHOW and CON- FERENCE 2016 will be held April 11- 14 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. The event will offer a complete portfolio for the production of high-grade, competitive coatings, paints, sealants, construction chemicals, and adhesives. With a focus on design- ing innovation strategies for the future, this year's show celebrates the industry's capacity to creative innovative strategies designed to integrate customer needs, break down performance barriers, incorporate sustainability considera- tions, and more. The 2014 show drew more than 8,700 attendees from 69 countries and 480 ex- hibitors that displayed their products on 114,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Attendees came to source information about state-of-the-art developments in raw materials, lab and production equipment, testing and measuring equipment, and services for the coatings industry. Once again, this year's show promises to set the trend for future de- velopments in the paint and coatings in- dustry. Not only will it offer the latest in- formation about an extensive range of products, the event will also bring to- gether top coatings development deci- sion-makers for a high-level exchange of information. The event will include an exhibition as well as an educational con- ference with a variety of coating sessions. Education With more than 200 paper submis- sions, the American Coatings CON- FERENCE 2016, to be held April 11- 13, will feature 96 presentations in 16 educational sessions as well as an ex- panded, interactive poster session, ple- nary session, and reception. Topics cov- e r e d i n t h e c o n f e r e n c e i n c l u d e architectural coatings, polyurethanes, radiation curing, measuring and test- ing, direct-to-metal coatings, novel ma- terials, industrial coatings, alkyds, biobased coatings, protective coatings, and more.
