Fun Run to Lawrence
FIELDS OF KANSAS

Follow the Leader…
Q
uestion: How do you
keep 40+ Porsches
together while trekking
across the eastern Kansas
countryside?
As we were all getting
ready to depart LePeep after
our breakfast gathering on
April 16th I was thinking,
"OK, I'm not sure where
I'm going, but I know we'll
end up in Lawrence. I have
directions and I should be
OK as long as I follow the
car in front of me!" Off we
go, but suddenly the lead
pack is nowhere in sight and
I'm at an intersection with a
dozen cars behind me. Hats
off to Christopher Fourie for
putting together an awesome
route and especially for
designing in a way-point to
gather everyone back up.
Once we left the waypoint
on the south side of Eudora,
we truly escaped suburbia
and started slicing through
the country side. But,
before you knew it we were
approaching the outskirts of
Lawrence and the fun was
over. The end point was the
Prairie Park on the south
eastside of Lawrence. This is
a really nice nature preserve
and a great stopping point.
Everyone filed in to the
parking lot and had a photo
moment while exploring the
park.
It was an awesome day
without rain and I look
forward to the next one!
