March / April 2016 8 1. Where are you from and what brought you to KC? I am originally from Houston, but after 5 moves, ended up in Kansas City as part of a job relocation. 2. How long have you been married, kids or pets? Happily Married for over 20 years. My wife deserves a medal. We have two kids, Preston age 11 and Ava, age 9. 3. What is your background or profession? My background is mainly sales and business development in the Food Industry. 4. When did you join PCA? . I joined the PCA almost 2 years ago, after running into Dave Stadtmueller at a grocery store and seeing that he was wearing a Kansas City PCA shirt. I purchased my first Porsche (Cayman) and the rest is history. 5. What kind of Porsche do you have? We have two Porsches in the family: I have a 2013 991 911 and my wife has a 2016 Cayenne. 6. What is your favorite thing about your car? Favorite thing about my car is the color. Amaranth red metallic is a highly unusual color and I get comments about it all the time. 7. What have you done to personalize it? My 991 is essentially original, without any modifications, and is as it was delivered from the factory, but does have a "Driven by Hurley Haywood" signature as it was purchased from Brumos Porsche 8. Favorite memory with car - or funny story? Favorite memory is taking the family to Rennsport V and driving the 911 down the coast to Big Sur. Huge bucket list item for me. 9. Cars growing up that you had fun with? I have had many performance cars, mostly American muscle -but once I got bitten by the Porsche bug, I would find it hard to do anything else. 10.
