Memphis had a strong showing in the All-American Championships, going 7-4 in singles and 4-3 in doubles. Johnny Grimal won all three matches of the Pre-Qualifying Tournament, defeating opponents from Duke, N.C. State and Tennessee to reach the Qualifying Tournament. David O'Hare and Joe Salisbury won all three matches in the Qualifying Tournament, including an 8-6 win over 51st-ranked Damian Hume and James Meredith from Boise State, to reach the main draw. Aſter losing in the opening round of the main draw, the duo defeated No. 8 Alex Brigham and Adrien Puget from UCLA, 9-8 (9).
