Hitting the road is beneficial in many ways for the Tigers. First, it allows the Tigers to take on some of the country's elite programs. Furthermore, traveling provides opportunities for the team to bond. In 2012, Memphis traveled to Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Mississippi, Texas and Alabama as well as in the state of Tennessee.
