Industry NEWS 22 SMOKESHOP April 2016 Vapor Expo Announces Conferences rosemont, ill.—Vapor Expo International, the all-vapor trade show scheduled for June 15–16 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., will host several edu- cational conferences both mornings of the show from 8–10 a.m., prior to the opening of the trade hall at 10 a.m. On June 15, Bryan Haynes, a partner at Troutman Sanders Law Firm, will provide an overview of the e-cigarette regu- latory environment, including an update on FDA proposals and state regulatory initiatives. Don Burke, senior vice pres- ident of Management Science Associates, Inc., will describe how vapor purchases differ at convenience stores, tobacco outlets, and vape shops and how retailers can capitalize on developing trends in the category. On June 16, a vapor panel discussion featuring repre- sentatives from Smoke Free Alternatives Trade Association (SFATA), American Vaping Association, Tobacco Merchants Association (TMA), and the Vapor Technology Association will address numerous topics including regulatory develop- ments, product innovations, evolution of the manufacturing and retail landscapes, and marketing trends shaping the vapor category.
