J ointly organized by RDD On- line and Aptar Pharma, RDD Asia 2016 will return to Goa, India and be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, November 8-11, 2016. Based on delegate feedback from the 2014 conference, the event will be length- ened to two-and-one-half days. Conference topics RDD Asia will provide updates on respiratory drug delivery in Asia and the rest of the world. Expert speakers will address essential background and current issues relating to pMDIs, DPIs, nebulizers, nasal sprays and emerging delivery platforms. Discus- sions will include generic product development, new therapeutic oppor- tunities, progress in drug develop- ment, novel in vivo and in vitro test methods and regulatory science. Anticipated focuses for the confer- ence will include: • Global regulation of inhaled and nasal drug products • New therapeutic opportunities • Generic product development • Ensuring patient access to inhaled products • Advanced drug delivery technologies • Current issues in inhaled and nasal product testing Poster submission open until June 24 Following delegate requests, the poster abstract submission deadline has been extended to June 24. Abstracts on all subjects related to pulmonary and nasal medication delivery are welcome. RDD seeks work that has not been presented elsewhere although it is certainly acceptable to present new findings that build on a previous presenta- tion. Detailed poster submission guidelines can be found on the RDDOnline website. Additional workshops Workshops were a popular feature of the past conference so more are being added for 2016. These 60- minute presentations let companies sponsor, in a technical rather than an overly commercial manner, practical and interactive demonstrations of innovative technologies, products, capabilities and services. During a half-day session on November 9, each presentation will be repeated three times to ensure that delegates have the greatest opportunity to attend their preferred selections. Technology exhibition; Networking opportunities RDD Asia 2016 will include a tech- nology exhibit in which companies will be showcasing the products and services they provide for the inhala- tion industry. Both the poster session and technol- ogy exhibition will run throughout the conference and can be visited any time the meeting is in session, during refreshment breaks and at dedicated viewing times. The scientific session, exhibition and poster sessions will be located on same level within the hotel, enabling seamless networking opportunities for delegates, scientists and technology experts.
