Industry NEWS 22 SMOKESHOP June 2016 JM Tobacco's "Strike Gold" Giveaway to Strike Again at IPCPR JM Tobacco is once again inviting attendees to the IPCPR Trade Show to try their luck at winning their share of valuable prizes in their booth (#2651). Strike Gold occurrs only once every five years; JM Tobacco introduced it at IPCPR 2006, then again in 2011, and now this year. Show attendees compete for prizes that culminate in a grand prize, which was a one-ounce solid gold coin valued at over $1,600 for the 2011 contest. This year, the grand prize goes digital with an Apple iPad Air 2 Gold. JM kicked off the giveaway with a mailer to all current IPCPR members that includes a gold-and-black poker chip and card with playing instructions and a list of prizes. Recipients bring their chip to the JM booth during show hours to try their luck playing blackjack. The number of con- secutive winning hands is recorded, and the player with the most by the end of the show is awarded the grand prize. Lesser winners receive other prizes, like JM hats and t-shirts. Even those who go bust on their first hand enjoy some choice JM premium hand-made cigars. This year, the fea- tured cigar is JM's Nicaraguan, a sweet smoke with a flavor and body that are tailored to the three- to four-a-day smoker. The value-priced (less than $3 MSRP) all-tobacco handmade Nicaraguan is available in eight shapes in Sumatra, corojo, Connecticut, and maduro wrappers.
