At the time of the purchase, Toraño had served as marketing and customer relations manager, a position he had held since joining his family's company in 2011. Following General's brand acquisition, Toraño joined Duran Cigars (formerly Roberto P. Duran Premium Cigars) as regional sales manager for Florida and the Caribbean, and subsequently added marketing management duties. > Gurkha Cigars has appointed Carolee Martin region- al sales manager for Phoenix/Texas area. Prior to joining the company, Martin served as southwest regional manager at Duran Cigars, a position she held since March 2015. Prior to joining the cigar industry, Martin served as the Department of Defense GS 15 Senior Advisor for Special Operations in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, where she served over a decade of duty. While there, she also became the first female president of the Tali-banned Cigar Aficionado Club, Camp Gibson Chapter. > Nicopure Labs, LLC announced that Jim Caci has joined the company as chief financial officer. Caci brings more than 20 years of experience successfully managing risk, developing business strategy, leading the IPO process from start to finish, and building financial oper- ations at private and publicly-held companies. In his new role, Caci will be responsible for managing the strategy and growth of fiscal functions and operations at Nicopure Labs. Caci previously served as c.f.o. at Conductor, where he ran the compa- ny's finance and administration, and AvePoint, where he helped build the company's financial foundation and ran the finance and operations for all of the company's global entities across six continents. > Vapor Corp. has appointed Christopher Santi as presi- dent. Santi previously served as chief operating officer and will continue in that role; he succeeds Gregory Brauser as the company's president. Brauser resigned as a director and president of the company to devote time to his other busi- ness ventures, but will continue to serve as a consultant to the company. > Kuuts LLC, a Miami based premium cigar maker operating Danlí, Honduras, has appointed Steve Ysidron as c.e.o. of its U.S. operations. Ysidron, previous- ly served c.e.o. of Epicurean Cigars, a small batch premium cigar company he founded in 2012 when Savinelli U.S.A., the American importer and distributor of Savinelli pipes, ceased operations. Ysidron served as national brand man- ager and later c.e.o. of Savinelli U.S.A. directing the firm's premium cigar brands. > IndianHead Cigars / La Galera Cigars has announced a partnerships with a number of established cigar brokers to rep- resent its premium cigar brands in their designated territories, effective March 1st: Dan de Santis (Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Western N.Y.); Ed Ryan (Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming); Frank Bellavia (North California); Barry Blonder (Colorado, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona); Jason Poehler (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska); Taven Johnson (West Virginia, Virginia, Washington D.C., North Carolina, Kentucky); and Stefan Mayer (South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee).
