Axalta acquires Dura Coat Products, earns lab accreditation PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Axalta Coat- ing Systems LLC, a leading global sup- plier of powder and liquid coatings, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Dura Coat Products, a promi- nent manufacturer of coatings for metal UPDATE:Suppliers coil and related markets in North America. Axalta will purchase a major- ity stake in Dura Coat at the closing, which is expected to occur in the third quarter of 2016, and the remaining out- standing shares by January 2019. The acquisition is subject to required regula- tory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
