Associate head coach Fred Corral developed a mentality with the Tigers pitching staff to help the pitchers develop their minds. With a higher belief in themselves through being consumed with one day at a time, Tigers pitching set a program-record 462 strikeouts in 2010, and also registered a 4.00 ERA in 2012, the best ERA since 1993.
