Hired as the 16th head coach in Memphis history on June 29, 2004, Daron Schoenrock has elevated Memphis to previously unseen heights since his arrival on campus. In that time, he has led the Tigers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in over a decade (2007), their first C-USA Championship title game (2012) and four 30-win seasons. Schoenrock's arrival also coincided with the renovation of FedExPark, which was part of his dream for Tigers baseball. Coach Rock is also a tremendous developer of pitchers, having coached future MLB All-Stars Brandon Webb and Jonathan Papelbon during their college careers.
