Two weeks aſter winning the series at No. 7 UCF, Memphis continued to impress with a series win at Big XII foe Missouri. The three-game series victory was the program's first over a Big 12 school and fiſth time the club won two games against a Big 12 opponent in two days. Memphis won two-game series against Missouri in 1978 and Kansas State in 1962, 1963 and 1964. Five doubles helped Memphis to a 6-4 win on Friday, and clutch-hitting by Derrick Thomas liſted Memphis to an 8-7 series- clinching win on Sunday.
