Entering the final third of the season with a 17-23 record, Memphis made an impressive 14-5 run to end the season in the C-USA Championship title game. Over that stretch, the Tigers earned four wins over ranked foes and had a season-best, seven- game win streak. Down the stretch, the bullpen was a strength, with Jonathan Van Eaton leading the way with a 2.50 ERA, a 4-0 record and four saves.
