Vertical Hydraulic Shores Vertical Shores Offer Versatility & Safety Where trench shields are used to protect workers against cave-in, lightweight vertical hydraulic shores apply pressure to trench walls to prevent a trench collapse. Excellent for working around existing utilities, supporting trench walls near structures, curbs or sidewalks, and for pipe installations where a larger backhoe can not be used. Most shores can be safely and easily installed/removed from the surface, thus avoiding the risk of working in an unshored trench. Hydraulic shores offer superior versatility in trenches up to 25' deep and 12' wide. A cylinder extension system can add to the shores range, improving on-site adaptability when encountering excavations of various widths. These high-strength aluminum shores are available in standard or heavy-duty models and can be used to meet OSHA regulations in A, B, or C-60 soils. • 100% above-ground installation; hydraulic system allows one-man installation and removal • Lightweight, aluminum alloy construction for portability and exceptional strength • Hinged, flat cylinder pads ensure even load distribution to rails with no load-bearing on critical connecting pins • C-60 soil certification; standard vertical shores are P.E. certified for use in A, B, or C-60 soils
