into applying it properly. He also touched up some
small nicks on the car he was working on. Believe
it or not, he used Crayola crayons to fill in some
chips on the Arctic Silver 997. Never heard of that,
but I was really amazed with the result!
As with everything, it is all about the prep and
Dustin spent a lot of time discussing what goes into
this stage. Cleaning and inspecting for imperfec-
tions is key. After initially laying the film down, he
then went into matching up edges, making sure that
no speck of foreign material was underneath and
began squeezing out the liquid underneath for the
film to start sealing. It was a very interactive ses-
sion and I was impressed with the results. I know
where I am going for future paint protection or tint-
ing needs.
All in all, it was a great, well attended event. It
was a nice treat to have two members receive a par-
tial hood bra and for one member to receive a $250
gift certificate. I would definitely recommend that
this event be done again and look forward to at-
tending the next time.
