Danielle RaVarra, E4 SPC
in CA National Guard, says
hugging Charlie cured some
true exhaustion; "I got
instant energy!" Captain
Joe Amador thought about
his family when meeting
puppy, Oliver. "I missed my
two young daughters, and
seeing Oliver made it a lit-
tle easier to be away from
home." Guard Specialists
Tiffany Lampty and
Roxanne Hector couldn't
get enough of Oliver,
either. PFC Lampty, who
wants to work with ani-
mals, summed it up.
"I was extremely stressed;
those dogs made me ignore
the situation of being out
there and putting my life at
risk. Seeing Oliver changed
my mindset from 'lost in
the sauce' to being there
and engaged."
