Clementine & Co. Brings Inspired Living to the Monterey Peninsula B Y C H R I S T I N A - L A U R E N P O L L A C K I f home is where the heart is, then the pur- veyors of Clementine & Co. will turn your house into a home. Owned by sisters Amanda Sherman and Emily Huss, their new home décor store has become an inspiring space to find unique pieces that add beauty and whimsy into any home. Having prior retail experience, the sisters joined forces by opening their store earlier this year in The Crossroads Carmel. Amanda says, "We have always dreamed of owning our own shop, and we wanted to share our creativity and passion for decorating with Carmel. We saw a need in this community for a shop that incorporates home décor with vin- tage, one-of-a-kind flea market finds, custom upholstered pieces, gifts, and accessories." With the desire to help customers find spe- cialty items, they "have had a lot of success find- ing specific pieces," thanks to working with a variety of wholesalers. The sisters not only source new pieces, they also support local arti- sans, and scour flea markets and estate sales, hunting for treasures that customers will cher- ish. In addition, they offer interior decorating consultations to help bring a cohesive design to any space. Clementine & Co. is located at 153 Crossroads Blvd. in Carmel.
