It will then be presented to customers, in high definition, by a series of special guests, subject matter experts, and personalities in an effort to engage, inform, and entertain. BrandSource members are free to personalize their service by adding their own commercials and videos to the playlist and to decide what plays and when. The process is so user friendly that NPI, promotional, and even daily sales content can be run for any type of event. The new service is also capable of being streamed online, in your store, or on-the-go, without the delays associated with updating or maintenance. "Sophisticated members can 100 percent customize it however they want," said Ristow. "The whole library will be open to them but, for many of our members, we will curate the list and manage it for them. …This is just the start of something really big that should resonate across all platforms." Ristow reported that 70 percent of members who attended "The Stampede" buying event signed up for the avbTV program at launch. In his closing remarks, Ristow further stressed the importance of acting on the recent conditions in the marketplace and his own enthusiasm for the future growth of BrandSource and its growing membership. "It's all about the member. This is the best time for an independent to be in business. The excitement and opportunity is here. If this is you career, there are one or two opportunities, and this is one of them," he said. "I'm not even sure all of our members are aware of how big a prize this is, so we are really excited about that." At the conclusion of the convention, members traveled home better informed about the new furniture and bedding options that they may offer in their showroom, but also encouraged by the new opportunities on the horizon for their individual businesses. With BrandSource assisting them in modernizing their digital marketing presence to attract a new generation of customers, their futures look bright indeed. RO
