He earned a clutch win in the bronze-medal match that boosted the U.S. to the team title at the 2007 World Championships.
He extended the U.S. string of consecutive gold medals at heavyweight to three when he won the 2002 World title after Rulon Gardner won Olympic gold in 2000 and World gold in 2001.
He has made eight straight U.S. World or Olympic Teams since 2005.
