WOMEN'S OLYMPIC TEAM DID YOU KNOW?
Bernard attended two colleges in Canada - the University of Regina and the University of Alberta - where she won five CIS college national titles.
She and Clarissa Chun are the first U.S. women to qualify for two Olympic Games in wrestling. Chun and Bernard both placed fifth at the 2008 Olympics.
She pinned 2008 Olympic gold medalist Jiao Wang of China en route to winning a bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.
She is a two-time Junior World champion, and a University World champion.
She lists her hobbies as riding motorcycles and shopping.
She is one of two Minnesota natives on the U.S. Olympic Team in wrestling. Greco- Roman wrestler Chas Betts is the other.
