In 2012, Natalie Poole became the second head coach in Memphis soſtball history. The Tigers finished seventh in Conference USA with a 20-37 overall record and an 8-16 league mark. Memphis struggled early with a difficult schedule and was involved in 18 games decided by a run and another nine decided by two. But, the team battled back and won 11 games during a 14-game stretch in the campaign's second-half, including a season-best, seven-game winning streak.
