A true testament to the American entrepre- neurial spirit, Perlick has evolved from a small company whose product offering thrived on the city's booming beer industry to a large scale manufacturer with a diverse product portfolio sold around the world. 100 YEARS OF COOL Perlick has long been at the forefront of refrigeration and dispensing technology. Starting from the time that a then-state-of- the-art refrigeration department was added that allowed the company to design and produce mechanically cooled boxes, 1917 - Robert K. Perlick and his son, Walter, open the doors of R. Perlick Brass Company on Reed St. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. LATE '40 S/EARLY '50 S - Perlick introduces the Black Beauty Dispenser, Chief Flat Top Bottle Cooler, Dixie/Olympian Bottle Coolers and Flavor King Soda System. 1910s 1940s / ' 50s 1930s 1933 - Perlick adds a state-of-the-art refrigeration department to aid in the transition of ice boxes to mechanical refrigeration. 1938 - Perlick develops Direct Draw Beer System; the most sophisticated beer dispensing equipment the market had ever seen, marking the beginning of Perlick's innovative bar and beverage product line.
