For the past three years, I have had the most fortunate opportunity to work for CCFA Dean Salma Ghanem. Salma's energy and enthusiasm for this college is unmatched. Her commitment and advocacy for the arts and communication, indeed for education in general, is impressive – she just never stops. Three years ago when we made the decision to begin building a new and improved CCFA Advisory Board, recruitment was fairly easy. I worked with current members to identify people that we thought might enjoy helping the college expand its network of alumni and friends and to help build programming and opportunities to bring people together and to help build and promote a strong development program. The task of recruitment became even easier when I had the opportunity to introduce Salma to these exciting potential board members. Her enthusiasm for CCFA was not missed by any of these people. And it was at this stage that it was a joy to sit back and watch the ideas spring forward and the commitment of these folks deepen. I want to take this opportunity to thank Salma for her leadership in the College of Communication and Fine Arts and for recognizing the value and importance of this advisory board made up of our most committed alumni and donors. I also want to thank the members of the group for their love of CMU, this college, and for their energy, zeal, and commitment to cultivating future generations of loyal CMU/CCFA alumni and friends. It has been a pleasure working with you!!! Alison Miller College of Communication and Fine Arts 2012
