While The Preserve at Boulder Hills is a private sporting club, it also serves as the Famars USA Shooting Grounds. You'll see Famars shotguns and apparel in the club's retail store. What better way to demo a new shotgun than on clays or, better yet, live birds. n iF yoU WAnt to Go Wyoming isn't just a state; it's also the town in southwest Rhode Island where The Preserve at Boulder Hills is located. The club sits on nearly 1,000 acres and abuts 2,550 acres of national forest. There are year-round inland and coastal activities to suit every member's tastes and preferences. Sportsmen enjoy Continental shoots, walk-up hunts, and a variety of sporting clays games. Trout anglers have the option to fly fish in the club's stocked ponds or on the Wood River, the state's best trout stream. Rhode Island is the Ocean State, and fly or light tackle fishing for striped bass, bluefish, bonito, and false albacore is outstanding, as is the offshore fishing for tuna, mahi mahi, and sharks. In addition to its par-3 golf course, the club has an equestrian center, rock-climbing wall, zip lines, and ATV riding. Winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
