Day 1: Arrive Victoria (D) Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Victoria Airport and transferred to your hotel. This evening meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner. Two Night Stay: Chateau Victoria. Day 2: Victoria – Butchart Gardens (FB) Visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22 hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. Learn about the history and flora while exploring the gardens. Afterwards enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria's Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas. Day 3: Victoria – Campbell River – Discovery Passage Wildlife Cruise (FB,D) Make our way north along Vancouver Island through forested roads to Campbell River. Famous for migrating salmon, this is a picturesque area where wildlife abounds. Enjoy this pristine environment on board a comfortable cruise with expert naturalists. Sail through the Discovery Passage in pursuit of whales, bears, eagles, sea lions and dolphins. Overnight Stay: Painter's Lodge. Day 4: Georgia Strait – Sunshine Coast (FB,D) Travel by BC Ferry across the Georgia Strait back to the mainland and the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Finish the day at a magnificent water-side resort with some of the best views in British Columbia. Two Night Stay: Painted Boat Resort. Day 5: Sunshine Coast Scenic Cruise (FB) This morning we'll cruise spectacular inlets while keeping watch for wildlife. This is a stunning area that is renowned as being one of the most naturally gifted in the West Coast. The afternoon is free to soak up the beautiful surroundings and enjoy your unique location. Day 6: Sunshine Coast – Whistler (FB) Travel south to Langdale and board the BC Ferry to Horseshoe Bay. Journey along the Sea to Sky Highway following the rugged coastline. Stop at the awesome Shannon Falls before arriving at the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village. Two Night Stay: Delta Whistler Village Suites. Day 7: Whistler (FB,HD) Today is at leisure for you to explore Whistler. You're Invited: This evening we will be met by a local culinary expert and taken to experience three different dining destinations. Day 8: Whistler – Chase (FB,HD) Travel along the scenic Duffy Lake Road into the town of Lillooet. The days end finds us at the tranquil Little Shuswap Lake staying in a unique deluxe First Nations lodge. You're Invited: Be taken to learn about the sockeye salmon run that occurs here each autumn and the importance of the salmon to the indigenous communities. Tonight indulge in a BBQ dinner that specialises in local cuisine. Overnight Stay: Quaaout Lodge. Day 9: Chase – Jasper (FB) Be rewarded with astounding views as you reach the Canadian Rockies. Weave through thick forests, past meandering rivers, enjoy vistas of the soaring mountains, ice age glaciers and tumbling waterfalls as you make your way through the spectacular Jasper National Park. Two Night Stay: The Crimson Jasper. Day 10: Jasper (FB,HD) Explore Jasper and it's surrounds. You're Invited: This evening journey to the foothills of Pyramid Mountain and experience an authentic Canadian Rockies Western style dinner §. Depart Jasper and travel along the breath-taking Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Make a stop at the Columbia Icefield, where you'll climb aboard the mighty 'Ice Explorer' for a once-in-a-lifetime journey onto the Athabasca Glacier. Finish the day at the famous 'Diamond in the Wilderness', the beautiful Lake Louise where we will stay in one of the Rockies most stunning and historic properties. Two Night Stay: Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Day 12: Lake Louise at Leisure (FB) Today is yours to enjoy the surroundings. Discover More: Take a walk through Johnston Canyon. Day 13: Lake Louise – Banff (FB,HD) Visit the spectacular Natural Bridge, and Yoho National Park that houses the glacier fed Emerald Lake. End in the impressive Banff National Park and enjoy a sightseeing tour including Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls. In the evening catch the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy the sweeping views while dining on a hearty meal. Three Night Stay: Banff Aspen Lodge. Day 14: Wolfdog Sanctuary (FB) Make your way to the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. Dedicated to the rescue and safe haven for neglected or displaced wolfdogs, this is a unique and special experience that will get you up close to one of the most regal animals in the Rockies. Your guide will explain the significance of wolves and wolfdogs in the wild as you are taken inside the enclosures for an up close experience with these amazing creatures. Settle back in your SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense). Cross Kicking Horse Pass and view glaciers and snow-capped mountains before arriving into Kamloops. Overnight Stay: Kamloops Hotel (as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer).
