Rick Pitino has been the head
basketball coach at the University
of Louisville since 2001, taking the
team to an NCAA championship
in 2013. He is the only men's coach
to win the tournament with two
GLƪHUHQWWHDPVDGGLQJKLVVXFFHVV
with UL to a 1996 win with the
University of Kentucky. A racehorse
owner, he spends his vacation every
summer at Del Mar, and shared the
story on how he came to earn a part
of his best horse to date.
