The program provides students with a foundation in the theory, tradition and practice of yoga, knowledge of anatomy and physiology applied to yoga instruction, instructional methodology in the art and science of teaching yoga asanas, and practice teaching experience. Program Notes: Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all courses within the program. Students must enroll in a Physical Activities: Yoga course each semester. Yoga is an ancient philosophical tradition and part of the mainstream in physical fitness and wellness with wellness practices that can be labeled therapeutic. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate this knowledge by participating in an internship in an aspect of yoga therapy.
