ritish racing is fortunate to be able
to boast some outstanding sum-
mer festivals which are inked in
the diaries of racing professionals
and fans alike in time-honoured
tradition. It begins of course with
Royal Ascot, which is followed by Newmar-
ket's July meeting and Glorious Goodwood.
York's Ebor meeting is the culmination of the
high summer season before thoughts turn to
the yearling sales.
To give the latter its modern-day title, it's
now known as the 'Welcome to Yorkshire
Ebor Festival' and a warm welcome is exact-
ly what one can expect on arrival at Britain's
premier northern racecourse.
