T
he newly transformed Holman
Ranch Tavern is not quite a
full-scale restaurant, but much
more than a tasting room. What
lies between is an homage to
small, sharable plates, Holman
Ranch wines and a bevy of creative,
seasonal cocktails. Manager Jennifer Cook
loves to play mad scientist when creating
brown-sugar and Sriracha bacon for the
house bloody Marys or making her own
maraschino cherries. "Getter The Moscow
Mule" is a spin on the classic Russian vodka
drink, but uses a special ginger cider as the
kicker. "When I first tasted that cider it just
made sense," Cook says. "We're always
looking for ways to up our game."
