Q. What are you most looking forward to at retirement?
A. Time…time with Jimmy (my husband). Time to care for our aging parents.
Q. What will you miss most about your time at Redstone?
A. e people. Some of these people I have worked with for 27 years and they mean a lot to
me. I'm going to miss them.
Q. What will your co-workers likely miss most about you?
A. My laugh. My personality. Ninety-five percent of the time, I'm happy, so I hope that's what
they will miss.
Q. After retirement, where would we likely find you on a typical afternoon or weekend?
A. Crafting on weekends. Jimmy and I really miss doing that. I've already gotten some
beautiful items to start making some fall and Christmas crafts.
At the cabin on weekdays. Something I used to do a lot and enjoyed doing was reading. I
haven't had a chance to do much lately. I recently took a songwriting workshop and enjoyed
that. I would also like to do some songwriting. e cabin is ideal for those things.
Q. When you were a teenager, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A. A teacher. I started working right after high school and didn't get to attend college. at
changed years later. I started college when I was 45 years old and graduated three years
later, in 2006, with a degree in Business Administration. I loved it!

Sharon Junior retired in September after 27½ years with
Redstone Federal Credit Union. During those years, Sharon
held positions in six different departments.
Members, however, likely remember her smiling face at
their company's benefits booth, interacting with them at
community events, or visiting nursing homes or shelters with
the Redstone Carolers during their Christmas tour.
We talked to Sharon about what's ahead for her, and she
couldn't stop smiling.
