RETAILOBSERVER.COM OCTOBER 2017 22 NEW BEKO LAUNDRY APPLIANCES BOAST LATEST TECHNOLOGY, ENERGY EFFICIENCY FOR EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE AND LOWER ENERGY BILLS As Americans downsize, move to cities and embrace tiny homes, Beko's new compact washer & dryer offers the power and performance of full-sized models, yet fits in tight spaces. "The only thing the compact washer and dryer doesn't do is fold the clothes," says Sazi Bugay, director of product management, Beko U.S., Inc. Beko (www.beko.us), the #1 European freestanding home appliance brand, has just introduced its line of award-winning products into the North American market. "With a space-saving stacking feature, our Compact Washer & Dryer transforms any two-foot nook into a laundry room," Bugay said. "The dynamic duo boasts a surprising 2.5 cu. ft. washing capacity, a 4.1 cu. ft. drying capacity, and superior cleaning and drying performance. You can even wash and dry a comforter with these small, but mighty units." The Energy Star ® compliant appliances are also good for the environment and a family's electric bill. The revolutionary ventless heat pump dryer (HPD24412W), an ENERGY STAR Most Efficient award winner in 2017, uses a closed-loop heat exchange system to conserve and reuse hot air during tumble-drying cycles. This gently and effectively removes moisture from clothes at a 50% energy savings over conventional vented dryers. Because it dries at a significantly lower heat, the dryer pampers clothing while saving money on energy bills. The Beko washing machine (WMY10148CO) features ProSmart ® Inverter Motor technology, which revs at up to 1400 RPM for fast washing and the best water extraction, while reducing noise. The bane of many pet owners is pet hair that finds its way onto every item of clothing. To make life with furry friends significantly less hairy, Beko created the Pet Hair Removal mode, which adds special pre-wash and rinse cycles to the normal wash cycle. Other features of the washer, which can handle up to five double bed linen sets or 14 towels at a time, include: • Super Quick 20: Cleans slightly soiled, unstained and small amounts of laundry, such as socks, towels, bed sheets and t-shirts that have been worn only once super-fast. • OptiSense ™ : Determines garment needs and triggers optimal washing conditions – from controlled water temperature and motor speed, to proper rinsing (even in over-sudsing) and safe operation in power fluctuations. • Jeans Cycle: Provides spotless washing of thicker fabrics, like fleece and the seams of jeans.
