RETAILOBSERVER.COM NOVEMBER 2017 54 AVB UNVEILS UPGRADED APP FOR SUBSCRIBERS OF IN-STORE TV PLATFORM AVB TV recently introduced a new and improved app to access its in-store video solution platform. The upgraded feature, known as the AVB In-Store Ads app, offers a litany of improvements, which are sure to excite members and enhance the quality of their in-store experience. This new solution is available to all AVB TV users on their current subscription. Members only need to download and activate the new app, and a channel—pre-configured from their previous device—will automatically start playing. AVB TV is essentially a tool for our members to create new awareness of their businesses through a series of quality programs, vignettes, series, mini-documentaries, and webisodes. The content is streamed directly to members' stores, websites, and online platforms while powered by a low- cost Apple TV. It is distributed to an unlimited amount of TVs in a retailer's store all at a flat, low monthly cost per box. Members are free to personalize their service by adding their own commercials and videos to the playlist and to decide what plays and when. The process is so user–friendly that NPI, promotional, and even daily sales content can be run for any type of event. The service is also capable of being streamed online, in your store, or on-the-go without the delays associated with updating or maintenance. The upgraded app for AVB TV improves upon its predecessor in a number of different ways. Users can now subscribe to or create custom channels, organize and play member created content, control the frequency of the ads played, and block video assets that do not fit their business model. The new app will not only make the management and showing of updated promotional content in stores easier, more compelling and economical; it will soon grow to allow members to manage their video content on multiple platforms from their retail floor to YouTube all from one place. The AVB TV platform offers a glimpse of the future where communication with the customer can exist on multiple levels. The new and improved app reveals just how hard AVB works to keep up with the times by always striving to enhance the in-store experience. The ability to reach new customers through a variety of different platforms represents a new opportunity for members, and AVB is there to provide you with the way forward. Be sure to activate your new app as soon as possible! THE LINQ AVB will be introducing the 1st phase of avb LINQ, its web- based pricing and promotional management platform at the BrandSource Convention. LINQ was developed to assist members with one of the most important but frustrating aspects of the business: promoting the right product at the right time and at the right price. One of the biggest challenges facing the independent dealer has been the overwhelming prospect of trying to keep up with all the promos, rebates, discounts, and price changes on all the products that they carry. This process is so labor- and time- intensive that many independent dealers simply gave up trying, often relying on a consumer to notify them of a promotion from the ad of a national account. Problem solved: LINQ can now manage this entire process with a few keystrokes from a single platform. Out of the gate, LINQ will give a user instant visibility to all pricing and promotional information on over 13,000 appliance, CE and bedding products. The tool allows members to monitor and compare the next 90 days of all promotional activity on every group model they carry, alert them when a model on their floor is changing in price, and push those changes to their website, price tag printing, and POS system. LINQ will also track and post all promos associated with a product, from wholesale buy-ins to consumer bundle rebates. By utilizing LINQ, members will finally have access to the information they need in a manageable format to proactively drive their business and better compete with the box stores. LINQ is now up & running and available to all AVB members. B U Y I N G G R O U P N E W S IN STORE ADS RO
