CK: Two years ago, in Lexington, I was lucky enough to see American Pharoah. When they were walking to the starting gate, we were right on the track... and as he was walking down the track people were applaud- ing him. This was before he was even running, and it was like a Seabiscuit movie moment. Finally there was a racehorse that was legendary again in the American psyche. My hair is standing up on my arm just talking about it, because it is such a power- ful memory. I will never forget it. We were among greatness and there will never be a horse like that again in our lifetime. It was clear to me this was a singular moment in time. CK: The Lexington Junior League Horse Show, which in Lexington, KY at the Red Mile Race Track. They FORVHRƪHLWKHUHQGRIWKHWUDFNDQG create a show arena on the home stretch with beautiful indoor seat- ing on one side and a big grandstand on the other. It's great--it's summer, it's July, it's Lexington--it's just a fan- tastic atmosphere. TDN: What is your favorite Breeders' Cup memory? TDN: As a spectator, what is your favorite equestrian event to attend? CK: American Pharoah, since he has that reputation for not being naugh- ty! I would ride him in the stall. TDN: If you were given the chance to ride any racehorse, past or present, who would it be? ... because it is such a powerful memory. My hair is standing up on my arm just talking about it... " "
