Personal Training request forms at the PVCC fi tness desk. register at mortongroveparks.com | 2017/2018 Winter|Spring Activity Guide 19 BOLLYX = BollyX is a Bollywood inspired dance fi tness program that combines exhilarating choreography and intensive workouts with upbeat music from around the world. The cardio workout cycles between higher and lower intensity dance sequenc- es to deliver a total body workout. CORE AND MORE = Strengthen the most important part of your body by working on the core. If the core is strong, everything else will follow. This class will focus on exercises designed to work those most important core muscles by including standing, sitting and fl oor exercises. Come join us for a fun and effective work-out. CYCLE ^ = With the ability to control everything from speed and resistance to inten- sity level, this class is as easy or challenging as you want. Each class pro- vides a warm-up, cardio workout and cool-down. CYCLE SPORT = + Class combines a high energy interval cycle workout with strength and toning. Maximize your time with this class, which provides both cardio and strength. EXERCISE FOR HEALTH = Do you have aches and pain, fi bromyalgia or arthritis? Are you done with rehab and want to gradually get back to exercising? Do you want to improve your fl exibility and muscle strength all while improving your balance? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this is the class for you! Participants will use gentle fl uid movement to enhance muscular strength, increase joint fl exibility and promote overall physical stamina. HATHA FLOW YOGA = + Hatha Flow emphasizes mindfulness in each asana with a focus on synchronizing the breath within each posture. By linking movement with breath, the health benefi ts of each pose are enhanced. This includes greater muscular strength and tone, increased fl exibility and joint mobility, with improved circulation and hormonal balance. KETTLEBELL = Kettlebells are one of the most powerful tools for improving fi tness and physique. Kettlebells fast results work, due to the challenge of incorporating the whole body simultaneously with dynamic, explosive movements in every plane of motion. LINE DANCING ^ = Join us for a weekly class on country western line dancing. Rhonda will teach both classic and the hottest new dances throughout the session. Line dancing is a good way to burn calories and have fun. No tennis shoes please. LONGEVITY WELLNESS ^ = This dynamic program is designed especially for older adults emphasizing non-vigorous exercise increasing joint mobility and fl exibility with fun music and a lot of laughs. Spin & TRX = + Get cardio and strength in one 60 minute session. Cycle segments for cardiovascular conditioning followed by TRX segments for strength training. STRENGTH TRAINING = Looking to lose weight, tone up and just look and feel better? This program is power-packed FUN! Workouts consist of aerobic strength, speed, power and agility exercises designed to challenge all fi tness levels. STRONG AND LONG ^ = This class combines strength training, stretching and relaxation exercises to offset the effects of osteoporosis, manage weight, release stress and recover muscle mass lost due to aging or a sedentary lifestyle. Get a full body workout and leave feeling strong, long, relaxed and ready to face the day! STRONG BY ZUMBA = + Combines high intensity interval training with the science of Synced Music Motivation. In every class, music and moves sync in a way that pushes you past your perceived limits, to reach your fi tness goals faster. TOTAL BODY TONING = A combination of free weights, body bars, tubing and resistance balls. Strengthen, tone, and defi ne the entire body (upper, lower and core). All levels welcome. TRX = From pro athletes to seniors, TRX is a great workout for any fi tness level! Leveraging your own body weight, this full- body workout improves strength, fl exibility and mobility. WERQ! = The fi ercely fun dance fi tness class based on pop, rock and hip hop music. The warm-up previews the dance steps and the WERQ cool-down includes balance and yoga inspired poses. YOGA FOR ALIGNMENT = + Proper alignment improves circulation, creates inner space in the joints, good posture and helps avoid injuries. When proper form is present you can get the maximum benefi t from each asana for greater muscular strength, tone and fl exibility. Addition- ally, proper alignment brings a balanced fl ow of energy through the body that creates wellbeing. ZUMBA ^ = Zumba is a fi tness program designed to strengthen the heart and lungs, trim and tone the entire body, increase fl exibility and improve coordination. GroupEx Classes are now included in all fi tness memberships. Class schedule will range from 20 to 30 classes a week. Please note some classes have limited space so it will be on a fi rst come fi rst serve basis. GROUP EX FITNESS CLASS LEVEL BEGINNER ALL ADVANCED ^ = + FITNESS CLASS POLICY: Instructors must have a minimum of 4 participants in attendance for three consecutive weeks in order to keep a fi tness class running. If the class does not meet the minimum it will be cancelled and we will try to replace it with a new class or offer the class on a different day or time.
