Paving a New Path
unning a successful small business is nothing
short of a mystery to many, but Cobblestone
Clothing Co. seems to have cracked the code. Kym Liska
represents the third generation of her family to own and
operate the business. She says, "My grandmother, Harriet
Rogers, wasn't a fashionista, but she had amazingly great
style. She lived on a ranch in central Montana and when
mom (Cheri Tompkins) opened the store, she agreed
to come for three years to help us get going and do our
books. Seventeen years later, she retired. So she really
started it with my mom…on a wing and a prayer back
when I was in high school."

Liska's contractor, Levi McFadden, completed the renovation and custom-built features such as clothing
racks and large mirrors in a matter of weeks.
