Designer Lauren Levant, an emerging
figure in interior design, has been
named Best Builder/Remodeler for her
transformation of a bathroom in a cliff-
side distillery - turned - home. Levant
had to navigate between honoring
the building's Prohibition–era boot-
legging history and her clients'
conflicting styles: one preferred
modern and efficient design while
the other desired a warm retreat.
The shower, bathtub, vanity area,
and master closet were placed in one
open path to maximize space and
accessibility. Gunmetal finishes
reference history, while easy-to-grip
hardware and an open shower bench
make the space ready for aging-in-
place. Clean, horizontal lines give the
room a modern touch, while wood
cabinets, stone walls, and moody
lighting lend a natural feel.
