BOOKING
The hotel offers eight room
types, from its city queen to
a two-bedroom suite. At over
400 feet, the corner king is
a home run for around $210,
offering 180-degree views of
the city and large windows
over two walls and featuring a
couch, table, and a large bath-
room with Malin + Goetz toi-
letries. For the first time ever,
I was unable to secure a corner
king during the recent Keene-
land November sales, evidence
of the growing Thoroughbred
industry trade at the hotel.
"We have really seen growth
in the horse people coming to
the hotel," said Carter, "par-
ticularly during sales periods,
and the November sales were
the strongest period we've
seen. Every April and October,
we are jam-packed with people
going to the races at Keene-
land, but through the year for
the sales, we are seeing inter-
national visitors from Saudi
Arabia, Great Britain, and dif-
ferent countries."
