Racing has a particular fascination with `the big new owner,' and the sport has been fortunate enough to find a seemingly endless stream of them: men and women who have made their fortune in another indus- try and then used that fortune to fuel their passion: Thoroughbred racing and breeding. This month, we travel to Boca Raton to sit down with Bob Edwards and his family to talk about their e Five Racing operation; they bought their first horse on a whim at Saratoga in 2015, and now own over 70. The China Horse Club's Teo Ah Khing similarly took the racing world by storm a few short years ago. Amanda Duckworth travels to Ordos in Mongolia to check in on his plans to bring rac- ing to that country in a big way. If you're heading to Gulfstream this winter, you might consider staying in Palm Beach, near the training centers. Christina Bossi- nakis has some tips. On your way to Lexington for sales or racing? The 21c Hotel was just named Conde Nast Traveler's number 6 hotel in the entire American South. You'll never stay anywhere else in Lexington. And final- ly, bloodstock agent Justin Casse has made a name for himself on the international scene. And as it turns out... he's an international kind of guy. Patty Wolfe sits him down for a video Last Word.
