"I adopted her from one of my customers," Adams says. Ellie had to have back surgery, and she spent her recovery time in Adams' office. She's all better now, but "she insists on coming to work with me every day. She's determined to be here." Ellie gets to sample the new treats her owner is thinking of adding to the store. If she likes them she gobbles them up; if she doesn't, they stay on the floor. When Ellie first came into Adams' life, she was a very picky eater. No more.
