In 2012, former Memphis hurdler Richard
Lowe qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials.
Despite a valiant effort, Lowe���s bid for the
2012 Summer Olympics fell short, as he
finished 22nd overall in the first round of
qualifying with a time of 51.88.
Keenan Gibson, who owns school records
in the 200m dash in both outdoor and
indoor, went to Athens, Greece, as a
member of the 4x100m relay team for
Trinidad and Tobago. As an alternate,
Gibson was at the 2004 Olympic Games,
but did not compete.
