The always-strong Memphis throwers
continued to impress during the 2012
campaign. In his freshman year, Kyle
Bynum won gold at the C-USA Outdoor
Championships with a school-record throw
in the javelin and qualified for the USA
Junior National Championships. Bynum
and hammer thrower Will Hubber also
qualified for the NCAA East Outdoor
Preliminaries. On the women���s side, Cyarra
Wells won her first indoor conference title
in the weight throw. In all, five Memphis
throwers received All-C-USA recognition
in 2012.
