Deep cuts for large diameter pipe, exacting compaction specs, tight working conditions, or minimal ground subsidence requirements – all of these are applications for the slide rail system. In tight conditions, the system can be installed in the trench, and sidewalls added to meet the trench depth, as work progresses. This allows work to flow safely and efficiently with minimal disturbance of the area. Patented Open Track System GME/E&S modular shoring panels swing into position from the side. Installation proceeds in a timely manner with all workers operating in a safe work environment. All other system panels must be lowered into place from above, requiring larger equipment, and raising concerns with overhead power lines and obstructions. Side placement also allows the use of longer linear rails for those excavations deeper than 24'. This gives the excavator more room to work efficiently. The open section of the linear rail has a broad and firm contact face on which the frame rests. Because of this design, the linear rails cannot rotate about their vertical axis.
