G OPPORTUNITY As the home building market continues to improve, the 2013 IBS looks to help builders prepare for success. Left: The IBS exhibit hall and educational sessions will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Above: The 2013 IBS will bring together builders and suppliers to take advantage of the opportunities an improving market provides. Custom Building: Open to all registered attendees interested in discussing custom homes. Multifamily: For seasoned developers with years of experience and those looking to expand into multifamily housing or are new to the business. Remodelers: Find fresh perspectives and like-minded professionals to share ideas and information with other builders and developers as well as marketing professionals. Design Studio: The value and importance of good design is a subject that touches everyone involved in home building including architects, interior designers and land planners. Sales: Bringing builders together with sales and marketing people because a good communications strategy is essential to any business. Understanding that learning can take place anywhere while at the show, NAHB also worked with IBS exhibitors to provide continuing education credit for holders of NAHB designations for ac- tivities taking place in their booths. Association Business The IBS also serves as the annual convention for the National Association of Home Builders, and as such a full slate of association events and committee meetings are scheduled. Association officers and executive board members meet to discuss policies and programs. Area caucuses are scheduled as are student chapter awards, luncheons and dinners. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Tuesday, January 22 at 8 a.m. Nearly all programs, events and activities are being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
